Lympsham First School’s Forest School is called “Comple Copse” and is situated five minutes walk away from school. It is set in an idyllic situation amongst a small woodland with extending views across Lympsham and beyond. Our Forest school is a place where children and adults are given the opportunity to respond and work with nature. It gives freedom and the opportunities to gain and experience new skills. It also expands language and makes people more aware of their senses within the confines of a safe nurturing environment. Working in all weather conditions they work with natural objects, learning and developing independence self confidence and becoming more responsible for their personal behaviour and the safety of all. These skills are transferable whether in a formal or informal environment and become valuable life skills.
