Back in the spring The Eco Committee challenged you all to grow a squash or Pumpkin for the Harvest Festival - Prizes would be awarded for the biggest and best entries. The Festival will be on Thu 19th October. So we can judge your entries can you please bring them into school on Wednesday 18th October - please label them with a small sticker with your name and class on it.
A huge well done to our Pre-School for being awarded SASP accreditation for the high quality of their physical activity curriculum. They have shown how physical activity is included in all aspects of their curriculum and they have implemented lots of fun activities to help our youngest children to develop. Two of the children's favourites are Dough Disco and Squiggle Me To A Wiggle, both are physical activities designed to help children get ready for writing.
HARVEST RECIPE COMPETITION
To celebrate the Harvest Festival this year the House Captains have set you the task of creating
a recipe at home in theme with the Harvest Festival.
Things to think about…
• Food that grows at this time of year
• Food that you would find in your cupboards at home (budget friendly)
• Recipe that we are able to cook in school (time and difficulty)
Each class will vote for their favourite recipe and the four winning recipes will be made in school
the week commencing 16th October.
All recipes are to be given to your class teacher by the 13th October.
Below is a useful website with some ideas of different recipes.

We have received a nice thank you in the post from the RNLI for the fundraising we did in the spring term.
To our Lympsham Families,
A team of staff members from Lympsham CofE Academy and Lympsham Preschool are on a mission to raise some much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer support. The team will be taking part in a Marathon, Mighty Hike across the Gower Peninsular in West Wales on Saturday 8th July. Mrs Whiting, Mrs Addis, Mrs Caulfield, Mrs Hancock, Mr Scriven, Ms Evans, Miss Livingston, Vicky Evans, Josie Gratton, Sara Robinson, Kelly Jamieson, Mrs D'Ovidio and Mrs Wade are all signed up and training hard with weekly walks after work and weekend treks with the family.
In late 2022, one of our staff members was diagnosed with cancer and whilst the prognosis is incredibly hopeful it reminded us how important it is to support charities like Macmillan and to also come together to support each other as a team. Our Team captain and Headteacher Mrs Whiting thought a charity challenge would be a lot of fun and somehow, lots of colleagues agreed to sign up for a marathon hike! We are praying for a beautiful sunny day in July and lots of pounds in the charity pot and together we will be thrilled to be raising money for such an important charity like Macmillan.
To help in our mission to raise a total of £2000 for Team Lympsham we are hosting a Macmillan Coffee morning on Tuesday 13th June from 9-10am in the school hall. Cakes will also be available to purchase after school on that day. If you would like to join us for a cuppa and cake, we would love you to join us or If you are a keen baker and would be happy to donate some cakes, then we would also be most grateful.
You can follow our progress and help support the cause by following the link below.
Thank you in advance for your support and good cheer as we attempt a very long walk at a very tiring part of the academic year!!
Kindest regards,
Team Lympsham!
