I am delighted to announce that following our recent SIAMS Inspection (Statutory Inspection for Anglican and Methodist Schools) on 8.10.14 we have been judged as "Outstanding". This is a tremendous achievement for the school and we are extremely proud of the outcome.
In preparation for the SIAMS inspection we had to prepare an evaluation which evidenced how the Christian character impacts on the daily life of the school. We also had to show our commitment to putting faith and spiritual development at the heart of the curriculum along side clearly ascribed Christian values. The provision of Collective Worship and Religious Education was also closely observed.
I would like to thank the whole school community who took time to complete the Collective Worship and RE questionnaires as they were also taken into consideration for the inspection. Parents, governors and children were all interviewed as part of the process which also helped to secure this positive outcome. The exemplary behaviour and attitudes of the children clearly stood out to the Inspector, she discussed that they talked very confidently and enthusiastically about the school and their learning.
Thank you especially to the staff who always work relentlessly to provide a safe, positive and memorable experience for all the children in the school. This is a momentous "outstanding" celebration and one that has not yet been achieved in the school. A copy of the report can be found under 'Key Information'. Well done to everyone in our community.
